This is a standard MCP server, so any client that speaks MCP can connect to the same URL. Claude is the one we actively test, so it is the only one with steps above.

Level 2: let your AI tick items off for you

The public URL above is read-only. To let your AI update your own tracker ("mark Prologue as done", "what's my completion percentage?"), connect your account instead:

1. Sign in to ProgressBar (free, email link, no password).

2. On your account page, hit Generate connect link. You get a private URL like progressbar.gg/mcp/pbk_…

3. Add that URL as the connector instead of the public one. Same steps as above.

Your AI then gets three extra tools: get_my_progress, tick_items and untick_items, scoped to your account only. The link is a secret; treat it like a password, and revoke it from your account page anytime. Everything syncs live with the tracker on the site.
